Meet Taylah
Hi, I'm Taylah. I'm a registered psychologist with a passion for helping people navigate life's challenges with greater confidence, self-understanding, and self-compassion. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported without judgement.
My experience spans a range of mental health concerns, with a particular interest in eating disorders, body image difficulties, anxiety, self-esteem, and life transitions.
I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting. My approach is warm, collaborative, and down to earth. Rather than seeing therapy as something that is "done to you," I work alongside my clients to understand unique experiences, identify what's keeping you stuck, and develop practical strategies that create meaningful change.
I draw from evidence-based approaches while tailoring treatment to each individual, recognising that no two people are the same. Whether you're struggling with your relationship with food and your body, feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, navigating a significant life change, or simply feeling a little lost, I'm here to help.
My goal is to create a space where you can be completely yourself, explore what matters most to you, and build a life that feels aligned with your values.
Values & Vision
Neuroaffirming
I embrace neurodivergence as a natural part of human diversity. My practice is built on validating your unique processing style without trying to 'fix' who you are.
Collaborative
You are the expert in your own life. We work as a team to explore your goals, ensuring therapy feels safe, relevant, and entirely at your own pace.
Trauma-Informed
Providing a safe, predictable environment is my priority. I focus on felt safety and agency, acknowledging how your past experiences shape your present wellbeing.
The Approach to Care
In our sessions, I aim to create a space that feels both grounded and human. My approach is neuroaffirming and trauma-informed, meaning I work to understand your unique brain and life experiences without judgement. We'll move at your pace, focusing on building a collaborative relationship where your voice is the most important one in the room.
Day-to-day, this might look like exploring your sensory needs, processing past trauma with care, or finding practical ways to navigate an ever changing world. I blend evidence-based therapeutic methods with a genuine, empathetic curiosity to support your mental wellness journey.
